It Is One Invite

In 2015, my cousins invited me to Eastside. And when I walked through the hallway, I saw the core values about unleashing compassion, and I just felt instantly at home. Since I’ve been on this journey, my faith has grown a lot. I have a love for learning everything I can about God, growing in my faith, learning more about prayer, and making it my business to love people.  I want to help people see what I see and what I feel every day. I wake up, and it’s like, okay, please let me participate in your God moments. Use me today, LORD, and let me be a vehicle to somebody else finding your love and peace. And that’s what I look forward to every day.

Use me today, LORD, and let me be a vehicle to somebody else finding your love and peace. And that's what I look forward to every day.

So it’s really been a journey that sometimes is hard for me to explain to other people. During this season, I want to show others that I’m excited about this Unfinished initiative.  I want to see an Eastside Christian Church in every community and in every state. I want to be able to invite somebody to Eastside, wherever they live. Before I came to Eastside, I knew I was searching for something, but I didn’t even know what it was. It wasn’t until I got here, and was greeted by people I didn’t even know. Arriving here for the first time, and they made me feel so welcomed and loved.  What is there to lose? It is one invite, just one visit, that could possibly change someone’s life like it did for me. So I think it’s worth it!!
