Our Eastside story started back in August 2015. The moment we walked in through the doors, everybody greeted us with a smile, a handshake, and a hug. The moment we came to Eastside we looked at each other and knew we were at home. It was just beautiful. It was like, yeah, we saw each other, and, no question, we’re here to stay. We were coming out of a church that we’d been attending for 17 years. We were believers, but we had such a judgemental outlook on people and things. Coming to Eastside really helped us experience the true meaning of being a believer. A relationship with Christ, and His love, compassion, and grace.

I’m comfortable with his relationship, I’m comfortable with my relationships with others. As he loves us we need to love others the same way with unconditional love. To be able to show this same love and grace towards others, to understand others, versus being judgemental.
I am so excited for unfinished and everything behind it, and what Eastside stands for because it’s not about us. It’s about everybody out there that needs to know Christ. There are so many people who don’t know or haven’t heard the good news. God reminds us He’s available to everyone. The beautiful thing is that we get to be a part of that.
