The Hits Kept Coming
Chuck died in November 2022, and I still felt God’s hand at work. I decided to walk in faith, and be grateful for the unknown journey. Gene spoke at Chuck’s service. He spoke about Faith, Hope, and Love. It was exactly what Chuck wanted people to hear! Our worship team lead the most amazing praise time. Chuck planned the entire service before he died and wanted it to be a clear statement of his beliefs.
Unrelenting Love
Having similar priorities and serving at church is something that grounds them. It reminds them that there is something much bigger, than John’s business or Sabrina’s teaching, or their kids. There is unfinished work to do, there is unrelenting love to share…
It Is One Invite
In 2015, my cousins invited me to Eastside. And when I walked through the hallway, I saw the core values about unleashing compassion, and I just felt instantly at home. Since I’ve been on this journey, my faith has grown a lot. I have a love for learning everything I can about God, growing in my faith, learning more about prayer, and making it my business to love people. Arriving here for the first time, everyone made me feel so welcomed and loved. What is there to lose? It is one invite, just one visit, that could possibly change someone’s life like it did for me.
God Leaves The 99
We had hit rock bottom and were both struggling with addiction and living in a hotel room. We were eating in a soup kitchen one Monday evening and told a friend about our situation. She said, go to the little place up in Fullerton, call Eastside, they might help you
Our Unfinished Story
Paul and Judi’s journey to Eastside was anything but a straight line. They were involved with an acapella church for 12 years before the church merged with Eastside. The attendance had dropped significantly and the church was no longer attracting young people.
Then the merger with Eastside happened. They loved that the pastors taught scripture without sugarcoating the truth. The community of believers grew and established a real sense of connection.
The Drive Is Worth It
Everyone has a different moment of breakthrough where they encounter God. For Mike and Beth, it was when their first child was born. Instantly, their values were re-prioritized. Beth felt the need to get her life in order, and that’s when she surrendered to God.
Unprecedented Hope
Watching compassion videos reminds us where our tithe is going, that these dollars are being used for the good and the growth of God’s kingdom in giving unprecedented hope. Not just internationally and overseas, but here at home, right in our backyard….
Juan & Xochilt
Our Eastside story started back in August 2015. The moment we walked in through the doors, everybody greeted us with a smile, a handshake, and a hug. The moment we came to Eastside we looked at each other and knew we were at home. Coming to Eastside really helped us experience the true meaning of being a believer. A relationship with Christ, and His love, compassion, and grace. Having received this we want to extend that toward others and at the same time toward ourselves.
Coming To A Town Near You
I think we’re called to be disciples and not just in Anaheim. I love the fact that Eastside has just been blessed so much over these years, and in order to go to new locations, you need to have the means to do that. You can look at a multi-site model as being an advantage to Eastside, but I look at it the other way. That it is really an advantage to the community where we launch an Eastside coming to a town near you.
Do Christians Retire
Now in their eighties, even though they could sit back and rest they are choosing to keep serving. They could easily rest on the past and relish what‘s been accomplished in our history yet instead they continue to be involved in service because they’re unfinished. They’re not done yet and Eastside is not done yet. God is not done with us until the Lord Jesus returns. And so until that time, they’re gonna continue serving as much as they can. And that legacy has been passed on…
